The Samyang 24-70mm f/2.8 Auto Focus Zoom Lens for Sony E punches far above its weight, combining premium design, solid build quality, fast and accurate autofocus, and a bright f/2.8 aperture in a sleek weather sealed body, making it a capable zoom worthy of a place in any photographer’s bag. Samyang’s first AF zoom lens features a parfocal design, enabling it to maintain its focus point as it zooms in or out. This premium feature, often only seen in high grade cinema lenses, not only allows you to compose a shot far more quickly, but also to always have your subject in focus as the framing changes, opening a whole world of storytelling possibilities on video. The impressive optical design incorporates 3 HR elements, 2 aspherical elements, 1 hybrid-aspherical element, and 3 extra-low dispersion elements. Additionally, a UMC Coating has been applied to individual elements to significantly minimize lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color neutrality. The lens’ LSM (Linear Stepping Motor) autofocus provides quick and precise focusing performance, and manual focus override is also available for more refined control.
Optimized features not only for outstanding still images but also for video shooting.
Standard zoom angle of view from 24mm wide-angle to 70mm short-telephoto.
A bright maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire zoom range.
Features weather sealing at 7 spots on the lens to protect from light dust, rain, and snow and provide the ability to capture stunning images in less than perfect conditions.
Custom Switch – There is a custom switch, which can be set to allow adjustment of the aperture silently by rotating the focus ring. Using the optional Lens Station, you can set up the mode to suit your own preference.
