How we get our start?

Founded by Danny Lenihan in 2010, Danny was himself a professional photographer who owned several tripods, and was inspired to design something truly different.

What makes our products unique?

3 Legged Thing products are unique thanks to our innovation, quality of engineering, and use of colour.

Why we love what we do?

The team at 3 Legged Thing are photographers and video-makers. We use our products for our own creative projects. This enables us to see from an image-makers perspective, and to test them in real-world situations, making the products better for our customers.

Explore our Range

Looking for a travel tripod with a levelling base? Look no further than Jay, one of the Legends Range of tripods brought to you by 3 Legged Thing. This is the first carbon fibre levelling-base tripod specifically built for travel, perfect for wildlife and landscape photographers and videographers
Engineered for stability, Jay has an easy-to-adjust levelling base system and built-in bubble level that enables smooth, fast set-ups on any terrain. It’s 3 detachable legs can extend from 10cm up to 1.14m, and it can fold down to just 40.5cm to fit in your camera bag or cabin luggage
Weighing just 1.41kg, Mike can support up to 14kg of camera gear – 10 times its own weight! It comes with Rapid-Latch levers that make adjusting the leg angles easy and comfortable, even for those with impairments or when wearing thick gloves, perfect for all weathers
Jay is designed with our new raised O-Pads with Bubble Grip texture, as well as internal anti-rotation Chicken Lips, providing better grip, torque and water dispersement than any other leg lock. It’s incredibly versatile, with 3 detachable legs that can also be used as monopods and boom arms
We aim to innovate, inspire and be the best that we can be. We’ve given Jay detachable rubber Bootz that can be replaced with any of our foot accessories, with the levelling base also usable as a table-top tripod or foot stabiliser for the monopod. All our products feature a 5-year global warranty
