How we get our start?
Founded by Danny Lenihan in 2010, Danny was himself a professional photographer who owned several tripods, and was inspired to design something truly different.
What makes our products unique?
3 Legged Thing products are unique thanks to our innovation, quality of engineering, and use of colour.
Why we love what we do?
The team at 3 Legged Thing are photographers and video-makers. We use our products for our own creative projects. This enables us to see from an image-makers perspective, and to test them in real-world situations, making the products better for our customers.
Explore our Range
Say hello to Tommy, one of the Legends Range of tripods brought to you by 3 Legged Thing. This adjustable carbon fibre tripod is designed for heavier kit and longer lenses, enabling both videographers and photographers to work on the most challenging of terrains
Engineered for stability, Tommy has 3 section legs that can extend from 15.6cm up to 1.62m, with internal anti-rotation shims, or Chicken Lips, that give the leg locks greater strength and grip. It also comes with both a flat plate and bowl mount accommodating a wide range of work
Weighing just 2.59kg, Tommy has an impressive load to weight ratio of 23:1. It also comes with Rapid-Latch levers that make adjusting the leg angles easy and comfortable, even for those with impairments or when wearing thick gloves, perfect for operating in all weathers
Tommy is designed with our new raised O-Pads with Bubble Grip texture, providing better grip, torque and water dispersement than any other leg lock on the planet. It has 3 detachable legs that can also be used as monopods and boom arms, plus it can be converted into a table-top tripod
Tommy has detachable rubber Bootz that can be replaced with any of our other foot accessories for maximum stability on any terrain. Here at 3 Legged Thing we aim to innovate, inspire and be the best that we can be, so all our products feature a 5-year global warranty to give you peace of mind
